Guide to Supplementation (Part 3 of 3)

Hey everyone, hope you are having an awesome day!!

Welcome to part 3 of my guide to supplementation.

If you haven't checked out part 1 and 2 yet, be sure to do that.

In part 1 I went over general supplements -

In part 2 I went over sports supplements  -

Now, in part 3 I am going to go over a couple of my fave wellness supplements. Now this is a very broad topic, because depending on your unique health circumstances there can be a lot of variation.

I have named two that I like and have used myself, but if you need help with any others let me know in the comments below.

Wellness Supplements

Gut Right

If you have experienced any negative health consequences, bloating, dysbiosis, low energy, skin issues, sluggish digestion - gut right might be the answer for you.

I did it as a ‘once off’ protocol to give myself a good clean out and restore homeostasis within my gut microbiome.

It certainly helped with cravings and bloating. I was actually surprised with how much my tummy went down over the 10 days.

It is something I will be doing again once bub is here as my diet has been a bit all over the place when I had crazy food aversions, then heartburn.

Again, it is not something you need to stick with long term. It has a purpose and once that purpose is fulfilled you can maintain with a good diet and exercise.

You can find out more about it here -

Cort RX

When I have been through periods of huge stress, I take Cort RX.

I find it helps me feel more balanced when under stress, and helps me sleep.

Getting good quality sleep is so important. It helps your body get into a natural circadian rhythm which promotes good health, reduces cravings, reduces overeating for energy, gives you more motivation and improves your mood.

For too long there was a resistance to people getting enough good quality sleep. It has almost been seen as a badge of honour to be busy and sleep deprived.

But I'm glad to see that sleep is making a comeback. It is so important for overall physical health, as well as mental health.

After having autoimmune issues which can flare when I am under stress, having a supplement like Cort RX available as a natural helper when you need it is invaluable.

You can find out more information about it here -

I have also seen successful use of their Alpha Venus for helping with hormonal acne, as well as returning a proper menstrual cycle and reducing pain associated with periods. It has also helped ladies who have suffered with endometriosis or PCOS. So if you suffer with either of those, you may wish to consider that particular supplement.

I hope this blog has helped you.

Supplements aren’t a magic pill, they can enhance what you are doing under certain circumstances.

I don’t take a multivitamin ‘just in case’, instead I am purposeful with my diet.

If you take a multivitamin I would seriously look at it and what it contains. If your pee is coming out bright yellow you may be just peeing the majority of it out!

Have regular blood tests and be selective with your supplements.

You will save yourself a lot of money and also potential negative side effects if you don’t over supplement.
